Job Description
We are supporing a small not for profit organisation to find a Child and Family Worker to support their residential facility, including family preservation and reunification with vulnerable young people and their families. You will provide individualized support to the client and family, assessed as needed.
You will:
Provide a rapid, intensive, wraparound response to meet the safety and developmental needs of children/young people and support the needs of parents
Work intensively with children, young people and families to support the family preservation
Work flexibly and collaboratively with stakeholders
Facilitate referrals to additional services as required, for matters such as Family Violence, Drug and Alcohol, Mental Health, Disability and Trauma.
You must have:
A degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related tertiary qualification relevant to child and family welfare (Diploma of Community services + relevant experince will be considered)
Previous experience working with children, youth & families
Demonstrated experience in family engagement and assertive outreach case management
The ability to assess and respond to risk for children and young people
