Ballina is the Gateway to Byron Bay, looking for a change or to get away from the big city and find a relaxing coastal lifestyle? Relocate to the beautiful Northern Rivers region of NSW for a change of pace and an exciting new oportunity as a Clinical Care Manager.

Our client is currently seeking a suitable candidate for the Full-Time role of Clinical Care Manager based in Ballina NSW and reporting to the Facility Manager. As the Clinical Care Manager, you will manage and be responsible for all aspects of administraion in their clinical facility. This role includes such tasks as onboarding of new staff, auditing of clinical operations, treatment plan reviews and budgetary establishment alongside other duties - this is a varied role where each day is fast-paced and different from the last.

Key Duties:

  • Daily Task allocation for RN's, EN's and Care Staff

  • Strategic development planning for the facility

  • Budget management

  • Monitoring of clinical stores and ordering of required supplies

  • Clinical Governance and auditing of programs aimed at improved resident health services

  • Involvement of changes to care for residents

  • Time management of case conferences with families and management to adhere to review timelines

  • Guide, mentor, educate and develop clinical staff within the facility as required

  • Liase with medical professionals and upper management

  • Work coheseivly with administration, hospitality and residenit experience staff within the facility to develop continous improvement solutions for resident care

  • Attend to referrals from allied health teams

  • Amend care plans and update staff as to changes upon advice from allied health professionals

  • Undertake National Quality Indicator Program lodgment, on a quarterly period as set out by ACQSCA

  • Understand and stay current with Aged Care Standards and accreditation processes

  • Undertake education and professional development as required

  • Conduct weekly medication checks on S8 drugs

  • Conduct monthly medication checks of S4 drugs

  • Assess Nurse call time responses and work with the team on continued professional improvement

  • Shortlist and interview prospective team members in response to current staffing need and overall goal of agency minimisation

  • Monitor progress of ACFI and AN-ACC staff

  • Assist with direct clinical care as required

Required Skills:

  • Unrestricted AHPRA Registration (Nurse Div1)

  • 3 years + of aged care experience or equivalent clinical care experience

  • Proficcent int he use of the Microsoft Office suite inclusing but not limited to word, excel, power point

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liasie with staff, residents, family members and medical professionals

  • Ability to meet KPI's and deadlines as discussed with management
