Job Description
We are currently recruiting for multiple experienced Trauma Counsellors/Therapeutic practitioners to support individuals who have experienced sexual assault, family violence and historical abuse by providing high quality, evidence-based, trauma counselling, crisis support, group facilitation, advocacy support, and community education.
You Will:
· Assess and provide appropriate, evidence-based, short to medium term trauma counselling/therapeutic support to women, men, diverse gender people and young people over the age of 12years who have experienced sexual assault and/or family violence or other trauma.
You must have:
· Tertiary qualification in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology or related discipline
· Minimum 3 years counselling experience including skills and experience in trauma focused counselling, crisis intervention, and group facilitation.
· Demonstrated understanding of the gendered and structural nature of family violence and sexual assault.
· Demonstrated ability to practice cultural sensitivity in delivery of service.
Successful applicants will also need to provide a current Victorian Drivers Licence, Working With Children Check, National Police Check and two professional references.
