About the Role:

We are recruiting for a dynamic leader to take on the role of Coordinator at a Children's Centre in Port Melbourne. The ideal candidate will oversee high-quality education and care in a centre-based setting, planning, implementing, and evaluating developmentally appropriate programs. The role involves actively leading the quality agenda, supporting and mentoring educators to develop exemplary learning programs in early childhood services.


Key duties:


You'll cultivate genuine connections with children, families, colleagues, and the centre community. Overseeing daily operations, including staff practices, community service promotion, budgeting, and scheduling, will be part of your responsibilities. You'll contribute actively to a seasoned team and organisation committed to nurturing your professional growth. Through coaching and reflective practice, you'll foster leadership and professional advancement among educators. Additionally, you'll champion the inclusion of children and families from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs, collaborating with support agencies and personnel as needed.


Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Coordinator/Director working in Centre Based Childcare with relevant qualifications, (Bachelor of Education, Early Childhood)
  • Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework and Knowledge of EYLF, NQS and WH&S Policies
  • Strong business understanding of rostering and managing the movement of staff
  • Current First Aid Certificate, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma and WWCC
  • Previous experience with Assessment and Rating
