Pay: SCHADS Level 5 + casual loading ($63.76 per hour) plus super
Location: Ipswich
Employment Type: Full time or part time hours on casual contract, with potential to transition into permanent

Tradewind Australia is partnering with a respected community services organisation delivering a program, funded to provide early intervention and tenancy sustainment support, this program works alongside individuals and families to prevent homelessness and strengthen long-term housing stability.

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Housing Case Manager who is passionate about practical outcomes, social justice and walking alongside people at risk of losing their tenancy.

About the Role

As a Housing Case Manager, you will provide proactive, person-centred and trauma-informed support to individuals and families experiencing housing instability.

Your focus will be early intervention- identifying tenancy risks, addressing barriers and strengthening clients' capacity to remain safely housed. You will work both in clients' homes and through outreach, delivering flexible, strengths-based case management that promotes independence, dignity and connection to community.

This is a hands-on role that combines advocacy, service coordination and practical support.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide holistic, trauma-informed case management to individuals and families at risk of homelessness
* Develop, implement and regularly review strengths-based support plans
* Advocate for clients across housing, health, financial, legal and community systems
* Coordinate referrals and build strong partnerships with external service providers
* Conduct risk assessments and respond proactively to tenancy concerns
* Maintain accurate case notes, reports and data in line with compliance requirements
* Contribute to team meetings, case reviews and continuous service improvement
* Support volunteers or students where required

What You'll Bring

Essential

* Degree qualification in Human Services or a related field
* Demonstrated experience supporting people at risk of homelessness or with complex needs
* Strong understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred practice
* Experience in case planning, advocacy and interagency collaboration
* Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
* High-level communication and engagement skills across diverse client groups
* Current Blue Card (Working with Children) or ability to obtain
* Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel for outreach/home visits
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
* Willingness to undertake required probity checks and meet vaccination requirements

Desirable

* Experience in tenancy sustainment or homelessness programs
* Established networks within housing and community service sectors
