About the Role:
Are you an experienced Education Support professional seeking a rewarding and unique opportunity? We are excited to offer a position within a prestigious Independent School in Melton, part of a globally recognised network of 125 campuses.

Commencing this term, the contract extends until the end of the school year, with the possibility of continuation into the new year. In this role, you will provide tailored support to students across middle Primary and Secondary levels through one-on-one instruction, small group learning, and general classroom assistance.

We are seeking passionate, dedicated, and experienced Education Support staff with a minimum of two years' experience in Primary and/or Secondary school settings in Australia. A caring, student-focused approach, along with strong communication and collaboration skills, will be highly valued.

The school is part of a globally respected network educating over 9,000 students worldwide. The Melton Campus, the largest in Victoria, welcomes both local and regional students from Ballarat, Geelong, Melbourne, Sunbury, and Werribee. With modern facilities designed for middle Primary and Secondary education, the campus currently supports 225 students onsite and is committed to fostering innovation and excellence in learning.

Key duties:

  • Providing support to teachers by assisting with classroom management, lesson preparation, and instructional activities.
  • Work with small groups of students, providing one-on-one assistance, or helping to implement differentiated instruction strategies in Literacy and Numeracy on a needs-by-needs basis.
  • Monitor students during lunch breaks, recess, and other non-instructional times to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Provide additional support to students who may require special accommodations or interventions due to learning disabilities, behavioural challenges, or other needs.
  • Assist with the administration of assessments and tracking student progress to identify areas where additional support may be needed.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and student engagement through praise, encouragement, and reinforcement of desired behaviours.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement strategies for meeting the diverse needs of students in a challenging school environment.

Skills & Experience:

  • Must have at least 2 years contracted experience working within a Primary/Secondary setting in Australia
  • Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Completed relevant Qualifications in Education Support- minimum certificate III or IV
  • Demonstrate previous experience with working with small groups of students within a Primary/Secondary setting
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years
