Job Description
We are seeking a passionate English Teacher to enrich our educational community in Toorak at a Catholic school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive English lessons to students across various year levels, cultivating a deep appreciation for literature and fostering strong language skills within a faith-based environment. The role entails developing and executing dynamic lesson plans in alignment with the curriculum, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. Additionally, the English Teacher will play an integral part in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, participating in school events, extracurricular activities, and community service projects. Collaboration with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives and the integration of Catholic values and teachings into the educational experience are also central to this role.
Key duties
- Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligning with the curriculum.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and community service projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives.
- Uphold and integrate Catholic values and teachings within the educational framework.
Skills & Experience:
- Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
- Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Demonstrate previous experience as an English Teacher- Graduates are welcome to apply too
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
