About the Role
We are recruiting Enrolled Nurses to join a 24/7 nurse-led team at a youth justice facility in Malmsbury. This role includes patient assessment, medication administration, clinical monitoring, and supporting activities of daily living. ENs will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses, providing holistic care to young people in custody and contributing to a multidisciplinary team approach.
You will work across a rotating roster, including day, afternoon, and night shifts.
Key Duties
- Deliver patient-focused nursing care, assessment, and monitoring
- Administer medications and manage wound, respiratory, and neurological care
- Escalate clinical deterioration to Registered Nurse on duty
- Support daily living activities and wellbeing of young people
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with policies
Skills & Experience - Essential
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- Experience in medication administration (oral, topical, IM, SC)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
Desired Skills & Experience
- Paediatric or youth healthcare experience
- Experience supporting marginalised or culturally diverse populations
- Awareness of issues affecting young people in custody
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Other Requirements
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police Check
- Ability to obtain Department of Justice & Community Safety security clearance
- Up-to-date immunisation Category A
