$97,000 - $100,000 per anum + super + salary packaging

About the Role:

This position will support intake & assessment and brief intervention for all victim survivors of family violence in the Darwin and Palmerston areas. You will deliver high quality, safe and effective family violence and child well-being responses, while working closely with the refuge and outreach case management teams on allocation and specialist FV case management support.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver screening and triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions, allocation and coordinated referrals
  • Identify, assess and prioritise risk and needs of women and children who have, or are experiencing family violence
  • Provide brief Intervention/Interim case management support
  • Assess the client's issues, needs and circumstances at initial intake and coordinate a handover to the Specialist Family Violence Practitioner for further supports
  • Individual case plans are developed in collaboration with clients as required and include a range of interventions that address the needs or goals of clients during interim support period
  • Ensure accurate, up to date client records and data is maintained for all clients

Skills and Experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work is essential.
  • Experience working in the family violence sector is desirable.
  • Demonstrated intake and case management experience and skills
  • Highly developed time management and work prioritisation skills with an ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision required

You will also need to be willing to provide 2x professional references + undergo a Working with Children Check and Police Check.
