Location: Malvern (with flexible work options)

Employment Type: Full-time, ongoing

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our client's financial operations and provide hands-on management of a small finance team. Reporting directly to the COO, you will oversee month-end processes, budgeting, financial reporting, and payroll.

A key part of your role will be analysing and reporting on financial performance and management metrics, providing insights that inform strategic decisions and support organisational sustainability. You'll also maintain strong stakeholder relationships and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate monthly financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts
  • Analyse financial performance and management metrics, providing actionable insights to senior leaders
  • Manage budgets, monitor cash flow, and support strategic decision-making
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments
  • Manage payroll, ensuring compliance with taxation, superannuation, and employment legislation
  • Lead, mentor, and develop two direct reports (AP/AR Officer and Payroll Officer)
  • Coordinate Finance & Risk Committee meetings, including preparing papers, agendas, and minutes
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and funding agencies

What You'll Bring:

  • CPA/CA qualified
  • 2+ years in a finance management role
  • Experience in financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and budget management
  • Experience with not-for-profit financial management, NDIS and state government funding, and grant acquittals
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel; experience with Dynamics Business Central desirable

Successful candidates will be required to undergo relevant probity checks including criminal history, NDIS worker screening, and working with children check.
