About the Position
(0.8 FTE) Contract with well known not for profit with amazing employee benefits, including relocation assistance.
The Financial Resilience Worker will explore, develop, and implement strategies for addressing financial issues with clients, assisting them to improve their knowledge and skills of money management and supporting them to develop positive and sustainable financial behaviours, building financial literacy. The position provides emergency relief in line with the individual's capacity to maintain sustainable financial literacy. An important focus for the role is to strengthen access to programs, products, and services as alternatives to high interest loans.
About you:
- Hold a degree in Social Work, Human Services, Behavioural Sciences, or a Certificate IV (or higher) in a relevant field with at least two years of experience.
- A Diploma or Certificate in Financial Resilience/Literacy (or equivalent experience) or be working towards this qualification.
- Knowledge of financial crises, their impacts, and related behaviours, along with the ability to provide financial advice and crisis intervention.
- Understanding of relevant legislation, service delivery models, and best practices.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for case planning, advocacy, and networking with community organisations to establish referral pathways.
- Ability to set goals and work positively with individuals to achieve them within set timeframes.
- A current open driver's licence and the ability to maintain a Working with Children Blue Card and Disability Worker Screening/Clearance.
