About the Role:
Are you a passionate French LOTE educator in search of a rewarding teaching opportunity? Tradewind is collaborating with an excellent Catholic School in the Werribee area, actively seeking a committed French LOTE teacher to join their team starting from early June, on a full-time basis. This role will be working with students in years 7-10 with possible VCE classes. Don't miss out on the opportunity to become a valued member of this exceptional school community.

Key duties:

  • Develop age-appropriate and engaging curriculum plans that align the Victorian Curriculum for French LOTE Secondary levels.
  • Deliver effective and interactive French LOTE language instruction, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and language structures.
  • Introduce aspects of French culture into lessons through age-appropriate activities, stories, and projects to foster cultural awareness.
  • Design assessments to evaluate their language acquisition and provide constructive feedback to students
  • Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate French language and culture into broader educational themes and projects.
  • Stay informed about developments in language education, attend workshops, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.
  • Skills & Experience:
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Valid VIT registration
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary French LOTE in Australia
  • VCE French LOTE experience highly values
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
