Location: Melbourne (with flexible remote options)

Employment Type: Full-time, initial 3-month contract

About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic and high-performing General Manager Engagement & Growth to lead business development and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the CEO, this role will drive revenue growth across education, inclusion, and training sectors, manage one direct report in Marketing & Communications, and shape the organisation's engagement strategy. You will be responsible for developing relationships with schools, corporates, and other key partners, as well as supporting tenders, marketing campaigns, and brand positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow revenue across education and training sectors

  • Build and maintain high-trust relationships with schools, corporates, government bodies, and community organisations

  • Lead Marketing & Communications activities, ensuring brand integrity and effective stakeholder messaging

  • Identify and pursue new revenue and partnership opportunities

  • Represent the organisation at sector forums and strategic collaborations

  • Prepare reports and briefings for CEO, executive team, and Board

  • Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement

What You'll Bring:

Essential:

  • Proven track record in business development, partnership management, and revenue growth

  • Executive-level leadership experience with the ability to influence and inspire teams

  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Strategic thinker with experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-motivated and results-driven, able to work independently and collaboratively

Desired:

  • Experience in education, inclusion, disability, or community sectors

  • Experience managing marketing or communications teams

  • Experience leading philanthropic or fundraising initiatives
