Job Description
The Head of Teaching and Learning is responsible for developing and implementing a values-based curriculum aligned with the school's Human Values of Peace, Love, Truth, Right Conduct, and Non-Violence. This includes leading curriculum planning, ensuring it is responsive to students' diverse needs, many of whom may be at risk or have experienced trauma. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of masterplans for all units of work and the integrity of adapting these masterplans to class plans to ensure effective teaching and learning in the classroom. The Head of Teaching and Learning ensures whole-school curriculum planning is compliant with the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board (NSSAB) guidelines for special assistance schools. The role also involves overseeing the administration of assessments, monitoring reporting processes, and supporting both student learning and teacher performance. The Head of Teaching and Learning contributes to the school's long-term vision, including future distance education and senior school programs, while ensuring the emotional and academic needs of students are met. |
