Job Description

Housing and Tenancy Case Manager's

  • Work for leading Not-for-Profit organisations

  • Part-time & Full-time positions. Casual & Contracts on offer

  • Located across Melbourne's Suburbs

We are currently looking for experienced Case Managers, with experience in Housing or Tenancy, based across Melbourne's Suburbs.

You will be responsible for delivering a broad range of services to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and in crisis or transitioning from short-term to long-term housing.

You will:

  • Implement case plan meetings and participate in service coordination.

  • Demonstrate an ability to be able to work with clients/tenants with complex behaviours.

  • Manage a case load through a healing-oriented framework. Utilising creative and innovative pathways to disrupt disadvantage and create pathways out of homelessness.

  • Develop high level skills in the tenancy/property management program, Chintaro, and use the program reliably and consistently to record tenant, property, and maintenance details and issues.

  • Address rental issues, including financial arrangements for rental payments, arrears and accounts. Work with client support workers and Centrelink where required.

  • Respond to tenant maintenance requests, investigating and actioning in accordance with relevant KPIs. Record maintenance tasks and outcomes in consultation with tenants.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key support services

  • Undertake community capacity building activities to improve response to vulnerable people

You will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services or Real Estate

  • Competency in Microsoft programs, SHIP, CRIS or other Case Management software - highly desirable

  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to respond to people with needs, via responsive outreach models and assessments

  • Demonstrated understanding of the homelessness & housing service systems

  • A valid and current Victorian driver's licence

You will also have or be willing to undergo a Working with Children Check and a Police Check.
