Job Description
Tradewind is partnering with an independent school seeking an experienced Inclusive Education Teacher to join their expanding Learning Enrichment team.
This is an exciting time to join the department, with a strong focus on developing the unit and embedding best-practice inclusive education across K-12. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with diverse learning needs through targeted intervention, curriculum differentiation and collaborative stakeholder engagement.
The Role
Working under the direction of the Head of Learning Enrichment, you will:
- Teach and support small groups of students across K-12 with additional learning needs and/or social-emotional challenges
- Develop, implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Differentiate curriculum, assessment and classroom delivery
- Lead and contribute to NCCD processes, compliance documentation and funding applications
- Analyse and use student data to inform targeted interventions and track progress
- Liaise with families, teachers and external specialists
- Maintain detailed records while upholding strict confidentiality
Prerequisites
- Formal qualifications in Special Education
- Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)
- Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references
