Managing Lawyer
Pay: $124, 073.04 + Super + Salary Packaging (Relocation Support offered up to $3K)
Location: Any of the following: Bendigo, Echuca, Mildura, Morwell, Shepparton, Traralgon or Warrnambool
Employment Type: Full-time, ongoing
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced legal professional to lead culturally safe, specialist family violence legal services across a designated region. You can be based at any of the following locations above with relation support offered.
Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure high-quality legal practice, and maintain a small caseload of complex matters. This role combines people leadership, operational oversight, and strategic contribution.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage legal teams across multiple sites
- Supervise and mentor lawyers and support staff
- Maintain a small caseload of complex legal matters
- Oversee service delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement
What You'll Bring:
Essential:
- Qualified legal practitioner (or eligible) with unrestricted Victorian Practising Certificate
- Minimum 3 years experience in family law, family violence, child protection, or victims of crime assistance
- Strong leadership experience managing legal or multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work with vulnerable clients and manage complex needs
Desired:
- Experience in community or not-for-profit legal sector
- Policy, advocacy, or law reform experience
- Knowledge of culturally safe practice frameworks
