Men's Family Violence Practitioner - Ballarat

Salary - $97,000 - $100,000 + super + salary packaging

Our client organisation are committed to social justice, working for the rights of women, children and families to be safe from violence. The organisation provides high quality, person centered case management and therapeutic supports to men undertaking the Men's Behaviour Change Program (MBCP).

About the Role:

We are recruiting an experienced Men's Family Violence Practitioner to work with a leading not for profit organisation. The role will provide specialist case management and co-facilitation of the Men's Behaviour Change Groups to clients who are engaged in the MBC program. This is a fulltime, permanent contract, which requires 2x evening group facilitation sessions per week.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver high quality case management services to men undertaking the men's behaviour change program to reduce the risk of violence to affected family members
  • Provide assessments, intensive response interviews and individualised support for men undertaking the MBCP
  • Co-Facilitate the Men's Behaviour Change Programs
  • Maintain current knowledge of family violence related legislation, regulations, theories and frameworks

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or related field
  • Minimum 12 months experience working in a Family Violence Program, Men's Family Violence experience is preferred
  • Understanding of family violence theoretical frameworks and interventions
  • Comprehensive MARAM training and experience utilising this with people who use violence
  • Principal facilitation experience highly desirable

You will also need to be willing to provide 2x professional references + undergo a Working with Children Check and Police Check.
