Crisis Support Worker - Men's Accommodation Program
Pay: $40.42+ super + salary packaging
Location: Mount Isa, QLD
Employment Type: Casual, Full-time or Permanent Part-Time options to suit successful candidate
Tradewind Australia is partnering with a respected community organisation delivering specialist homelessness and crisis accommodation services in regional Queensland to recruit compassionate and capable Crisis Support Workers.
This opportunity offers meaningful, frontline work supporting men experiencing homelessness or housing instability. You will work within a values-led service that prioritises dignity, safety, advocacy and long-term outcomes for clients with complex needs.
About the Role
As a Crisis Support Worker, you will provide end-to-end, holistic support for clients engaged in crisis accommodation services. This includes intake, assessment, case management, referrals, advocacy and tenancy sustainment support.
You will work closely with clients to address barriers contributing to homelessness and support pathways into safe, stable and sustainable housing, while strengthening life skills, independence and community connection.
The role operates on a rotating roster between 7am-11pm, with flexibility to backfill shifts as required.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide holistic end-to-end client support from intake through to exit
* Deliver case management focused on housing stability, independence and wellbeing
* Conduct strengths-based assessments, risk assessments and safety planning
* Advocate for clients to access housing, health, legal and community supports
* Develop and regularly review individualised case management plans
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Specialist Homelessness databases
* Support clients to build life skills to sustain current and future tenancies
* Contribute to a culture of safety, continuous improvement and professional practice
* Undertake shift work including afternoons, evenings and weekends as required
What You'll Bring
Essential
* Certificate III in Community Services or related qualification
* Experience in homelessness, housing support or community services
* Understanding of relevant legislation and specialist homelessness service frameworks
* Strong advocacy, engagement and case management skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* Sound risk assessment and WHS awareness
* Respectful, non-judgemental approach to working with people experiencing disadvantage
Desirable
* Experience working with adults with complex needs
* Knowledge of tenancy sustainment, housing pathways and referral networks
* Experience using Specialist Homelessness Information Platforms (or similar client management systems)
