About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to provide high-quality, recovery-focused care to consumers experiencing mental health crises. This role involves working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team and supporting consumers, their families, and carers to achieve positive mental health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Build trusting, respectful and professional relationships with consumers
Conduct brief and comprehensive mental health assessments and develop collaborative care and exit plans to reduce risk of relapse
Use strengths-based approaches to complete mental health status measures and needs assessments
Provide support through a combination of outreach and centre-based services
Deliver care within a holistic framework that considers the needs of consumers, families, carers and the broader community
Promote safe work practices and comply with all WH&S requirements
Deliver services aligned with a collaborative recovery and person-centred model of care
Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to support integrated service delivery and recovery-focused outcomes
Encourage and support consumer and carer participation, leadership and feedback, including complaints resolution processes
Provide high-quality service delivery across the full consumer pathway, including intake, eligibility, assessment and exit planning
Collect and contribute to service data to support evaluation, quality improvement and innovation
Deliver services in line with clinical governance, quality and safety frameworks
Comply with organisational policies, procedures and relevant professional codes of conduct
Ensure accurate and timely incident and critical incident reporting
Work with professional autonomy while recognising when to seek guidance from senior clinicians or leaders
Essential Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy.
- Accredited registration with AHPRA or AASW.
- Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
- Valid Australian Driver License and access to a vehicle.
- Proven experience in mental health service delivery and recovery-based approaches.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to prepare reports with clinical recommendations.
