About the Role:

We are recruiting passionate, driven Mental Health Clinicians to join our client's Warrnambool Adult Mental Health Team. This is a permanent, ongoing position where you will play a crucial role in providing recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care for individuals facing mental health challenges. Your expertise will support individuals, families, and carers to achieve their recovery goals within a vibrant and dynamic community.

Key Duties:

  • Engage guests and develop trusting and professional relationships.
  • Provide comprehensive assessment and collaborative treatment plans for guests with co-occurring and complex mental health and AOD presentations.
  • Use trauma-informed, strengths-based, and recovery-focused approaches to deliver clinical interventions.
  • Provide regular secondary consultation to the team on guest care, treatment planning, and clinical interventions.
  • Engage and maintain stakeholder relationships with specialist AOD services, supporting referrals and assisting guests to achieve treatment goals.
  • Participate in research and evaluation projects related to AOD integration.
  • Promote a culture of Collaborative Relational Practice (CRP) and ensure person-centred approaches in all interventions.
  • Participate in the regular collection of service data for continuous improvement and service evaluation.


Skills & Experience:

  • Formal tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, or Occupational Therapy.
  • Accredited registration with a professional governing body (e.g., AHPRA, APS, AASW).
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the MH/AOD sector.
  • Valid Working with Children Check, Police Check, and Australian Driver License.
  • Proven clinical experience in applying evidence-based psychological therapies and interventions.
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and foster team commitment and cooperation.


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of local services relevant to mental health and AOD.
  • Understanding of Occupational Health, Safety, and Welfare Act and practices.
  • Experience working across Commonwealth and State-funded mental health/AOD programs.
