Mental Health Program Co-Ordinator
3 Days a week
Hawthorn Location
$80 - $95K FTE + Super+ Salary Packaging
I am currently seeking a very organized, enthusiastic Program Coordinator for a Mental Health Program based in Hawthorn. This role is 3 days a week and could easily suit someone with their own Private Practice or someone who wants more work life balance.
The mental health program coordinator is responsible for the development and coordination of a group therapy program to support good mental health within an integrative model. The program delivers seminars, workshops, and group therapy programs to support recovery and improve symptom management for conditions such as anxiety, depression and addictions.
The role
Set up a program timetable and coordinate the facilitators and participants
Resourcing and selection of suitably qualified, experienced, and integrative group therapy facilitators
Develop a screening process to establish suitability of participants to join the organised groups
Research the mental health program needs of the community
Complete detailed case notes and referral documentation
To input client data into the client management system and maintain accurate client records.
Work with internal and external health care professionals to build relationships that will support the care of the patients and clients.
Develop and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with health care professionals to promote the service and to develop and support new referrals.
Develop processes to ensure a seamless experience for participants
Research available programs and determine which programs best suit the needs of the target participants.
Develop client evaluation tools to understand and analyse the success of the programs
Work with the marketing team on the promotion of the programs
The suitable applicant will hold
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or related discipline with significate experience in a mental health setting
Extensive knowledge of mental health
Demonstrated experience coordinating groups
Understanding or appreciation of holistic models of mental health models including lifestyle factors.
Understand the benefits of group therapy
Have sound relationships within the mental health sector
Ability to recruit and co-ordinate professionals to provide mental health programs to a high standard.
You will also have or be willing to obtain a Police Check, a Working with Children's Check, and be able to provide 2 professional referees.
