About the Role:
An enticing opportunity awaits a dedicated middle Primary teacher to join a collegial grade 3/4 team in a community-oriented Catholic school in Hoppers Crossing in term 3 in a full time, contract role with possible ongoing opportunities in 2025. A traditional classroom setting with excellent team and school culture dedicated to well-being of staff and students.
Key duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
- Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
- Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
- Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.

Skills & Experience:
- Must hold Full Australian Working Rights
- Have VIT registration
- Previous experience in Primary teaching advantageous, although open to graduates
- Ability to provide contact details for three education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
