School & Adult Occupational Therapist
The role
- You will split your time between clinical interventions with an adult caseload and capacity building in schools
- Informing and supporting teachers on how best to support primary & secondary aged children presenting with disabilities and/or developmental delays.
- Capacity building, working with support workers in accommodation and other community settings
- Split between working in schools, clinic & some outreach
- Great opportunity for someone that has a passion for capacity building with schools and support workers, but also wants to maintain the client-facing clinical aspect
- Working in a person-centred approach to help identify needs, and build on peoples strengths to help them achieve their goals
The suitable candidate will be/have:
- Degree qualified in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with AHPRA
- Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working with adults and/or children presenting with a disability / developmental delay / psychosocial diagnosis
- Current Victorian driver's license
- Have permanent working rights within Australia
- Willing to undergo a police check, working with children check & DWES check
