Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome challenges and develop the skills necessary to lead independent and fulfilling lives. You will work closely with patients in their homes to assess their needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions aimed at improving their ability to perform daily activities and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to establish personalized treatment goals and plans.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and therapeutic activities to improve patients' functional abilities.
  • Provide education and support to patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment use, and environmental modifications.
  • Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document outcomes accurately and timely.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and access to services, and participate in discharge planning and community reintegration efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy), or equivalent and registered with AHPRA
  • Hold Working with Children Check Clearance Verification Number and demonstrate an understanding of Child Protection Legislation, or able to obtain one.
