The position of Oral Health Leader is a continuing role with a focus on improving outcomes for the most disadvantaged communities, and sustainability leading the teams across 3 sites in Footscray, Kensington and Niddrie. The Oral Health Cluster is one of four clusters in the Clinical and Practice Excellence Network. With a budget of $8.9 million, the Oral Health Leader holds responsibility for the Oral Health Program and SRS Oral Health initiative at cohealth.
The Oral Health Leader enables and supports oral health professionals to operate as a high performing and effective team and, over time, will identify enhancements that strengthen the team-based, self-management approaches. The role is responsible for inspiring and enabling and resilient and professional culture based on collaboration, innovation, accountability, with a focus on quality and evidence-based practice.
Areas of accountability will include:
- Leading the program and service delivery
- Managing the quality of dental and client care
- Leading the infection control panel
- HR, data collection and reporting
- Clinical governance
- Change and transformation management
You will be a subject matter expert in the area of public and community dental care holding relevant health and desirably management qualifications.
You have an understanding of oral health services including clinical/practice governance and quality management
You will have experience working with multicultural and disadvantaged communities in the community health environment
You will hold a comprehensive understanding of the changing public health funding environment with its capabilities and possibilities
You will have a background in management of diverse and inclusive teams
