About the Role:

A rewarding opportunity is available for a committed Arts teacher to join a large F-6 school in Tarneit, located in Melbourne's West, in a full-time, permanent position as a Performing Arts/Visual Arts teacher from now. This role is focused on instructing students across several year levels, and welcomes both new graduates and experienced educators.

Key Duties:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for Performing Arts and Visual Arts that aligns with the Victorian Curriculum.
  • Design engaging and age-appropriate lessons that foster creativity and artistic expression.
  • Facilitate hands-on activities, demonstrations, and performances to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of the arts.
  • Provide opportunities for students to explore different art forms and develop their artistic talents.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their artistic growth and development.
  • Establish and maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment conducive to artistic exploration and learning.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate arts education with other subjects and cross-curricular activities.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on arts education methodologies, new artistic trends, and innovative teaching techniques.

Skills & Experience:

  • Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Must have a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
  • Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary advantageous!
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
