About the Role:
Are you a creative and passionate Primary Art teacher looking to inspire young minds? Tradewind is partnering with a community-focused Primary School in Melton South, offering an exciting opportunity to join their Specialist team in 2025. This full-time role will involve teaching students from Foundation to Year 3, fostering creativity and self-expression through a well-regarded Arts program.

Key duties:

  • Design and deliver art lessons that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of primary students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages self-expression and artistic exploration.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate projects and activities to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of art.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' artistic endeavours to facilitate their growth and development.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in art education, continuously seeking opportunities for professional development.
  • Exhibit unwavering dedication to ongoing professional growth and development, staying abreast of the evolving educational landscape.
  • Embrace and uphold the school's educational philosophy, seamlessly integrating it into both teaching practices and personal ethos.

Skills & Experience:

  • Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Must have VIT registration
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary Art advantageous
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
