About the Role:
Are you a Primary Teaching looking for a new teaching opportunity in the new year? Tradewind are collaborating with a small community minded Catholic Primary School in Melbourne's West, taking expressions of interest for teaching roles- across any year level. A traditional classroom setting with excellent team and school culture dedicated to well-being of staff and students. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity.

Key duties:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
  • Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
  • Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
  • Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.

  • Instructing students in any year level from F-6
  • Starting from Term 1, 2025
  • Be part of a team of 3 within straight grades
  • Additional Learning Support Officers to provide coaching, mentorship and assist with planning
  • Traditional classrooms with options for more open class spaces
  • Supportive teaching and learning environment
  • Offering a salary based on your proven expertise, with a range of $76,000 to $116,000
  • Ongoing opportunities for professional development

Skills & Experience:

  • Must hold Full Australian Working Rights
  • Have VIT registration
  • Previous experience in Primary teaching advantageous, although open to graduates
  • Ability to provide contact details for three education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
