About the Role:
Are you an enthusiastic Drama/Performing Arts teacher with a love for nurturing young talent? Key Duties

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive performing arts curriculum aligned with the Australian Curriculum standards.
  • Design lesson plans that incorporate a variety of performing arts disciplines, including music, drama, and dance.
  • Teach students the fundamentals of performing arts, including theory, techniques, and practical skills.
  • Assess student performance through observations, assignments, and practical exams and provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and understanding.
  • Organise and direct school performances, concerts, and drama productions and collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate performing arts into school events and programs.
  • Maintain and organise performing arts resources, including instruments, costumes, and props and manage the budget for the performing arts program and make recommendations for resource acquisition.

Skills & Experience:

  • Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Current VIT registration
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary/Secondary Art- welcoming of graduates
  • Graduates welcome to apply and will be supported
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
