About the Role:
Tradewind is thrilled to partner with a vibrant F-9 school in Point Cook, in Melbourne's West, to recruit a dedicated Primary Science Teacher for a full time, ongoing position commencing from Term 1, 2026.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for a passionate educator who enjoys making science meaningful and engaging for students in Years Foundation to Year 6. The school offers well-equipped science facilities, supportive leadership, and a collaborative teaching environment that encourages innovation and inquiry.

Key duties:
- Deliver engaging, inquiry-based science lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum (Science and STEM Capabilities) and incorporate cross-curricular links (Maths, Technology, Sustainability, Literacy).
- Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving in students from Foundation to Year 6.
- Support school-wide initiatives in STEM, sustainability, and hands-on science learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues, leadership, and external partners to enrich the science program.
- Serve as a role model in promoting a passion for science and technology.
- Use ICT and hands-on experiments to enhance engagement.
- Participate in professional learning to stay updated on best practices in STEM education.
- Manage science equipment, resources, and materials responsibly and Ensure adherence to OH&S and safety protocols during experiments.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Must have VIT registration or are in the process of obtaining this
- Demonstrate previous experience in Primary teaching, and or Primary Science teaching
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable) with at least one reference being a principal reference.
