About the Role:
Hola! Are you a passionate Primary Spanish LOTE teacher looking for a new challenge part-time! Tradewind is partnering with a leading F-9 International Baccalaureate school in Point Cook, Melbourne's West, to fill a part-time, role starting in from now. You will teach Spanish to students in Years F-6, contributing to the school's focus on providing a high-quality, student-centred education. Key duties:

  • Develop age-appropriate and engaging curriculum plans that align the Victorian Curriculum for Spanish LOTE, Secondary levels.
  • Deliver effective and interactive Spanish language instruction, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and language structures.
  • Introduce aspects of Spanish culture into lessons through age-appropriate activities, stories, and projects to foster cultural awareness.
  • Design assessments to evaluate their language acquisition and provide constructive feedback to students
  • Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate Spanish LOTE language and culture into broader educational themes and projects.
  • Stay informed about developments in language education, attend workshops, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.

Skills & Experience:

  • Must hold unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Current VIT registration is essential
  • Proven experience teaching secondary Spanish LOTE in Australia within a Primary/Secondary school setting
  • Ability to provide two education-based references from the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable)
