About the Role:
A wonderful opportunity awaits a caring and dedicated Primary teacher to join a small, caring and well-resourced Catholic Primary School near Caroline Springs starting in 2025. Offering a full-time position, within a small teaching teams, the school is dedicated to collegial planning and offering support to all new teachers joining the school. Ample support from dedicated wellbeing and lead teachers to assist, a wonderful opportunity to be part of a caring school environment that always has students at it centre.

Key Duties

  • Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
  • Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
  • Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
  • Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.

Skills & Experience:

  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Current VIT registration or just applied
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary in Australia
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
  • An understanding and support of Catholic values
