About the Role:
Are you a dedicated Primary educator with a passion for teaching? Tradewind is thrilled to partner with an F-9 school in Melbourne's West, offering an exciting opportunity to teach lower/middle students in a full-time, ongoing role starting Term 2. Join the school in fostering a love for learning and a positive culture while making a lasting impact on young minds.
Key duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
- Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
- Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
- Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Must have a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Previous experience in teaching Primary students
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
