Job Description

About the Role:
Calling all passionate middle Primary teachers! Join a small Catholic school close to public transport, in a role starting in Term 3 near Taylor's Hill, nestled in Melbourne's West- walking distance to public transport. Work within a small team of 3 with dedicated planning time and commitment to modern teaching frameworks. Warm and welcoming school community and transparent and supportive leadership. Graduate teachers are welcome to apply and will be supported.

Key Duties

  • Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
  • Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
  • Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
  • Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.

Skills & Experience:

  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Current VIT registration or just applied
  • Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary PE
  • Welcoming of graduate applications
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
  • An understanding and support of Catholic values
