Your role:
Your role will be focussed on maximising the independence of participants in daily living skills, social and community participation and employment opportunities. The support you provided shall assist clients achieve their goals, promote community inclusion and encourage personal choice and informed decision making. We work alongside a variety of clients of all ages and varied degrees of support required; like amputees, down syndrome, early Alzheimer's, dementia/ challenging behaviours, psychosocial, and physical disabilities.
Your experience and certifications:
- Psychosocial /Mental health experience
- Cert III in individual support/disability or higher
- Minimum 6 months industry experience (Disability support, aged care, or other care work)
- Current NDIS Workers Screening (Yellow Card)
- Current Blue Card
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module completed within the past 2 years
- NDIS Effective Communication Training completed within the past 2 years
- NDIS Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals completed within the past 2 years
- Current Drivers Licence
- Weekends and 24-hour availability (inactive overnights) (preferred)
- Ability to travel across Pimpama, Ashmore, Southport, and Mudgeeraba
