About the role

We're seeking an experienced science teacher to teach junior classes, all the way up to HSC. As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality Science education across junior and senior levels, including Junior Science with either Physics/Chemistry/Biology HSC classes. You will support students' academic development while fostering curiosity, critical thinking and a strong understanding of scientific principles.

You will join a collaborative and supportive faculty, working closely with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes. The position also includes involvement in the school's co-curricular and extra-curricular programs and offers opportunities for professional growth within a highly academic, student-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons across Years 7-10 and senior Physics and Chemistry, aligned with syllabus requirements.
  • Design, implement and assess high-quality learning experiences that support strong academic outcomes and prepare students for senior studies.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students, maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement.
  • Participate actively in faculty collaboration, co-curricular and extra-curricular programs, and ongoing professional learning.

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Education and Science (or related discipline)
  • Current NESA registration
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Junior Science and senior Physics & Chemistry, including assessment and exam preparation
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for science.
