About the Role:
An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated and passionate Junior Italian LOTE teacher at a welcoming Catholic co-educational school located in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs starting in Term 3.
This full-time position is open to both graduate and experienced teachers who are eager to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of the Italian language learning in their students. You'll be working with students in years 7-9 and be part of a larger Italian LOTE faculty.

Key duties:
- Develop age-appropriate and engaging curriculum plans that align the Victorian Curriculum for Secondary levels.
- Deliver effective and interactive Italian language instruction, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and language structures.
- Introduce aspects of Italian culture into lessons through age-appropriate activities, stories, and projects to foster cultural awareness.
- Design assessments to evaluate their language acquisition and provide constructive feedback to students
- Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate Italian language and culture into broader educational themes and projects.
- Stay informed about developments in language education, attend workshops, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.
Skills & Experience:
- Must hold unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Current VIT registration is essential
- Proven experience teaching secondary Italian LOTE in Australia
- Commitment to supporting the Catholic Ethos of the school
- Graduates are welcome to apply and will be supported
- Ability to provide two education-based references from the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable)

- A full-time, ongoing position starting from Term 3

- Salary aligned with demonstrated expertise, ranging from $78,000 to $116,000
