The Role:
A highly regarded Catholic secondary school in Point Cook is seeking a passionate and dedicated Italian LOTE and/or Religious Education teacher to join their team on a contract from now until the end of the year.
This flexible role can be tailored to suit your strengths-whether you're looking for part-time Italian, part-time RE, or a full-time combination of both-teaching students in Years 7-10.

Key Duties:
Italian Language (LOTE) Instruction:
- Plan and deliver engaging secondary-level Italian lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, incorporating vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and cultural elements.
- Use interactive teaching methods and assessments to support language acquisition and student progress.
- Collaborate with staff on cross-curricular projects and engage in ongoing professional development.
Religious Education:
- Teach Religious Education in line with the Victorian Curriculum and Catholic ethos, fostering spiritual development through prayer, reflection, and Catholic teachings.
- Prepare students for sacraments and guide understanding of scripture, moral issues, and the relevance of faith in modern life.
- Provide pastoral care and work with the school and parish community to support student wellbeing and spiritual growth.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Hold a valid VIT registration
- Catholic Accreditation favourable but not essential
- Experience in RE/Italian LOTE advantageous- graduates welcome to apply
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years Highly developed interpersonal skills
- An understanding and appreciation of Catholic teachings, values, and traditions are essential for teaching within the Catholic system, or a preparedness to be working within this system
