About the Role:
An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated Secondary Science/Maths teacher to join a small and welcoming Catholic school community in Melbourne's West. Beginning in Term 1, 2026, this full-time role involves teaching Science to students in Years 7-10 and Junior Maths.

Key duties:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Maths and Science curriculum aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, covering various topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.
- Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, incorporating hands-on experiments, problem-solving activities, and inquiry-based investigations to enhance students' understanding and mastery of mathematical and scientific concepts.
- Design and administer assessments, tests, and experiments to evaluate students' understanding and provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their academic performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Maths and Science departments and across other subject areas to create interdisciplinary projects, thematic units, and cross-curricular connections.
- Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in Maths and Science education.
Skills & Experience:
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Current VIT registration
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary Science/Maths advantageous
- Graduates welcome to apply
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
- Uphold the highest quality of child protection
- Catholic school experience highly regarded
