Salary $79,589 - $118,063 (Depending on experience) + Super

About the role:

Tradewind is looking for a Food Technology Teacher to inspire students in practical and creative learning. You'll deliver engaging lessons, develop innovative programs in modern kitchens, and contribute to a supportive, growing school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Food Technology lessons to groups and individual students.
  • Assess student learning, track progress, and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
  • Commit to continuous professional learning, reflective teaching, and alignment with school values.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports engagement, curiosity, and wellbeing.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with parents and carers.

Skills & Experience:

  • Must have a current VIT Registration
  • Strong knowledge of Food Technology curriculum
  • Skilled in monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and using data to inform teaching practice
  • Experience designing hands-on, innovative learning experiences in Food Technology or related practical subjects
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and creating a positive learning environment
