Job Description

About the Role:

Key duties:

  • Plan and deliver VCE Visual Communication curriculum in line with relevant standards.
  • Develop engaging lessons that cover key design concepts, skills, and assessments.
  • Facilitate practical learning in areas such as graphic design, typography, illustration, photography, and digital media.
  • Design and assess student work, providing timely, constructive feedback.
  • Integrate industry-standard software and technology into teaching.
  • Participate in professional development to stay current with design trends and practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to enrich the program and provide real-world learning experiences.

Skills & Experience:

  • Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
  • Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
  • Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching VCE VCD in Australia/NZ
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
