💰 Pay: SCHADS Level 5 | $100,787 - $105,353 + super + salary packaging

About the Opportunity

Tradewind Australia is partnering with a respected Aboriginal-led organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Family Violence Therapeutic Practitioner to join their team in Chirnside Park.

This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity through to December 2026, supporting Aboriginal children, families and communities through culturally safe, trauma-informed family violence responses.

About the Role

In this role, you will deliver specialised family violence therapeutic responses, supporting families experiencing complex needs. You will conduct comprehensive risk assessments, provide culturally safe and responsive interventions, and deliver timely family support through outreach services, including home visits.

The position focuses on complex case management, cultural integration, family reconnection and coordination with other services to support long-term safety and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver therapeutic family violence interventions with Aboriginal families

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safety and support plans

  • Manage complex family violence cases

  • Provide outreach support, including home visits

  • Promote cultural safety and family reconnection

  • Support referrals and collaboration with internal and external services

  • Maintain accurate case documentation and reporting

About You

You are an experienced family violence practitioner with strong therapeutic skills and a commitment to culturally safe practice.

You will bring:

  • Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or a related field

  • Demonstrated experience in family violence, therapeutic or complex case management roles

  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and trauma-informed practice

  • Ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal children and families

  • Excellent communication, engagement and organisational skills
