Senior Accredited Mental Health Clinicians

We are currently recruiting for Senior Mental Health Clinicians across Melbourne with experience working with complex cases, carrying our risk assessments, working as part of a multi-disciplinary teams, provide support to those affected by Mental Health issues and providing supervision to other staff members.
Excellent opportunities are currently available for Senior Mental Health Clinicians. You will be skilled and capable in the delivery of community and clinically based mental health services. You will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team providing both one on one and group interventions and supports to people living with severe and persistent mental health illness. This role will include:
Utilising provided intake assessment format (or equivalent), ensure a thorough initial assessment across one or several sessions as appropriate. This must cover all aspects of the biopsychosocial model.
Assertively monitor clients' progress with an eye for relapse prevention at all times
Ensure community treatment is prioritised over inpatient care where at all possible to ensure high quality, continuity of care and functional outcomes; where health services are made redundant through skill building, empowering the client and their loved ones and autonomy within recovery is prioritised
Conduct triage assessments via telephone or face-to-face across all streams of programs, including managing waitlists safely and escalating concerns as per governance policy
Accurately document (within at most 24hrs) notes. This includes MSE, risk, impression, formulation and plan to inform treatment plans
Understand the risks associated with the client population and ensure paperwork is completed accordingly
Offer leadership to the clinicians around you, particularly in areas of expertise
Active participation in the continued development of processes
Participation and prioritisation of staff meetings, peer supervision, supervision and professional development (internal)
You must have:
A comprehensive understanding of the Mental Health sector
Bachelors of Social Work with AASW accreditation registration or AHPRA registration is a must if you hold a AHPRA recognised qualification
A minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a supervisory role
Sound discipline knowledge gained through experience, training or education
Understanding of the Strengths Based Approach principles
Knowledge of the National Mental Health Standards
Professional or specialised knowledge in the area of Mental illness, drug and alcohol and homelessness.
You will also be willing to undergo police and Working with Children Checks, as well as providing 2 recent managerial references.
