Senior Mental Health/AOD Clinician
Location: Latrobe Valley, VIC
Employment Type: Full Time - 2 Year Term
About Us: The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local, in partnership with Uniting VicTas, Drummond Street Services, and VAHS, provides a holistic, community-based mental health service. We focus on trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care, addressing social, physical, and emotional needs.
Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Mental Health/AOD Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team. This role involves integrating care for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. You will collaborate with experts, provide trauma-informed care, and contribute to ongoing research and evaluation.
Key Duties:
- Engage and support guests with complex mental health and AOD issues
- Develop comprehensive, collaborative care plans
- Provide clinical guidance and secondary consultations
- Foster stakeholder relationships and service integration
- Contribute to research and evaluation projects
Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, or Occupational Therapy
- Accredited registration with AHPRA, APS, or AASW
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in MH/AOD sector
- Valid Working with Children Check, Police Check, and Driver's License
- Proven experience in evidence-based therapies and multidisciplinary teamwork
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of local services relevant to mental health and AOD.
- Understanding of Occupational Health, Safety, and Welfare Act and practices.
- Experience working across Commonwealth and State-funded mental health/AOD programs.
