Position Overview: We're on the lookout for an exceptional social worker trained in the United Kingdom or Ireland to join our passionate team! As a Social Worker, you'll be at the forefront of providing vital support and intervention services to individuals and families facing diverse social and emotional challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- π Conduct in-depth assessments of clients' needs and collaborate with our diverse team to develop personalised care plans.
- π¬ Provide direct support and counselling to individuals and families, addressing issues such as mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, and housing instability.
- π‘οΈ Advocate for clients' rights and ensure access to essential services within the community and government agencies.
- π€ Coordinate with external stakeholders including healthcare providers, schools, legal services, and housing authorities to deliver holistic support for clients.
- π Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress towards goals.
- π£οΈ Participate in lively team meetings and engaging case conferences to review client progress and coordinate care plans.
- π Stay updated on relevant legislation and policies impacting social work practice in Australia.
Requirements:
- π Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work from a recognised institution in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
- πΌ A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in family services social work
- π Demonstrated expertise in conducting assessments, developing care plans, and providing counselling to individuals and families.
- π§ Strong knowledge of social service resources and support networks in Australia, particularly in the Melbourne area.
- π¬ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams.
