An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate Special Education Teacher at a leading independent K-12 school in Sydney's Southwest. Key Duties:
- Design and deliver Individual Learning Plans tailored to support students with diverse learning needs
- Provide differentiated instruction and modify curriculum to ensure accessibility and engagement for all students
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and external professionals to implement inclusive teaching strategies
- Monitor student progress, maintain detailed records, and report on individual achievement and development goals
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment, promoting student independence, self-regulation, and social development
Skills & Experience:
- Hold formal primary or secondary teaching qualification
- Special Education studies desirable, but not essential
- Proven teaching experience within NSW schools
- Current and valid NESA registration
- A valid Working with Children Check for employment
- Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Able to provide two professional references from an educational setting
