Tradewind are currently recruiting a Special Education Teacher for a school Located in Melbourne's south-east growth corridor. This specialist setting provides high-quality education for students with diverse learning and developmental needs. Staff work closely with families and allied health professionals to create meaningful pathways that foster independence, communication, and life skills. About the Role:
- Special Education Teacher
- Full time - Up to 4 years contract
- Starting ASAP
Key duties:
- Implement strategies which promote a healthy and positive learning environment
- Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school
- Communicate effectively with students, parents and staff
- Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelors of Education/Masters of Teaching or equivalent
- VIT Registration
- Minimum of one year's teaching experience
- Experience working in a Special Education School.

- An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- An ability to create an engaging, educational and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students
- An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning
