Speech Pathologist Opportunities - Community & Acute Settings
Make a meaningful difference across early childhood or adult clinical care
We're currently recruiting speech pathologists for two rewarding opportunities-one within a community-based early intervention team working with children aged 3-5, and the other in an acute ward setting within a clinical environment. These roles offer the chance to deliver high-impact, evidence-based care in supportive, multidisciplinary teams.
The Roles
- Early Childhood (Community-Based)
Support children aged 3-5 and their families through tailored early intervention approaches. You'll work collaboratively with carers, educators, and allied health professionals to build communication skills and improve long-term outcomes in home and community settings. - Acute Clinical Setting (Adult Focus)
Provide assessment and intervention to adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties in a clinical setting. Working alongside medical, nursing, and allied health teams, you will support patients during their recovery journey with a focus on best-practice care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans
- Liaise with families, carers, and other professionals to coordinate care
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning
- Contribute to outcome measurement, progress reporting, and service improvement
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A commitment to delivering culturally safe, person-centred care
- Experience in either paediatrics or adult health is highly regarded
