Job Description

Are you a compassionate leader with a passion for delivering person-centred services within the NDIS framework? Tradewind Australia is proud to partner with a highly respected not-for-profit organisation in Narre Warren seeking a skilled Team Leader - Plan Management to join their dedicated team.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity to drive excellence in NDIS plan management by leading a diverse and experienced team of Plan Managers.

You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality, compliant and person-focused financial services for participants while supporting a hybrid and remote workforce with empathy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a multidisciplinary team of Plan Managers to deliver consistent high-quality support to NDIS participants
  • Oversee the daily operations of the plan management function ensuring alignment with NDIS guidelines and organisational policies
  • Act as a subject matter expert providing guidance on complex plan management issues
  • Monitor and report on team workloads, KPIs and performance metrics to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement continuous service improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Ensure accurate processing of invoices, budget reconciliation and financial tracking
  • Manage workflows, team communication and performance within a remote or hybrid work environment

About You

You are a values-driven leader with a deep understanding of the NDIS and a strong background in finance or community services. You bring empathy, resilience and clear communication to your team helping them thrive in a flexible and supportive environment.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Community Services or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in NDIS-related roles
  • At least 2 years in a finance or financial management position
  • Membership with a relevant professional body (ATMA, AAT, CBK, ABAL, CPA, ICB, IPA, CAANZ) highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of NDIS plan management rules and best practices, highly regarded
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience ideally managing remote or hybrid teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in financial and client management systems (experience with NDIS platforms preferred)
